From dark to light
Our Melbourne
cohort was about to continue our incredible adventure.
We had just
finished an amazing seminar with all the Dillers from around the world.
An early
rise of 7am and a scrumptious breakfast at Ramat Rachel then we were heading to
Yad Vashem. Outside Yad Vashem we had a small program to help us connect with
those who we have lost. Then we had a tour of the museum which allowed us to enhance our
understanding of the Shoah. We also had the unique opporunity to hear from the director of the Hall of Names.
Then we
sat down for a lunch, then made our way to Har Herzel, the resting place of
many significant people within Israel as well one of Israel’s biggest military cemeteries.
We had a really incredible tour guide that really connected us to the landmark.
After we were on our way to reunite with our friends in the Golan for Community
week. We had a very long and ice cream filled bus ride. Despite us being an
hour late for our welcoming activity we still had an amazing time with
counterparts from the Golan. Once the activity was over we all had to part each
other for the first time in a week, and attempt to begin our catch up on sleep.
